Completed final Xanita Chair!

Finally I have completed my chair. Well, it seems pretty ok to me, but the bends seems not 100% matching with the frame, I tried the best to match it, but when I did my laser cut I lost pretty much 2mm’s along the leg frames, then after wards I have to measure by hand and mark all the fold lines on the back rest and seat covers. When I marked all those lines on the back and seat covers here and there again I lost couple of mm, after the very first assembly I noticed all these errors. But it’s not going to affect the design or the function of my chair, so end of the day those errors aren’t really a big deal. So yeah here comes my final chair. I call it “Tokyo 100% Kiddo”.
Final CAD & Model making

I did my out cuts using the CNC at Swinburne. But wasn’t really satisfied with the results pretty much I have to cut all over by myself. Also cutting all the inside and the curves to match it’s all just a pain in the bum. But I did mock up each cut before I put my hands on my final model, can’t afford to screw up. Well by end of the day all came up really well and I’m pretty happy with my chair. I hope you guys also like it. Fingers crossed!

1:1 SCALE MOCKUP. I Call it "Tokyo100%kiddo" V1.0

Oh well, I found it pretty easy to make my 1:1 mock up chair with this card board, but how about with Xanita?????? , So I start digging the web for the tips on xanita. Found a few really good info On cutting and folding the xanita. And also got a fairly medium sized xanita ( 300 x 425) from one of my mates who works in the real world with cardboards display making. So that I can master my cuts on this Xanita xboard, So yeah let’s do this xanita chair. Good luck to me!
